Upload remaining miscalculation after screen lock

I was uploading some files to a server over SFTP when a friend walked up, and I reflexively locked my device. When I unlocked the screen, PowerFTP Pro was still uploading, but seemed to have miscalculated the remaining uploads.

Files and Media
Background data
Unrestricted data usage
Battery optimization (Not optimized)
